Assalamu Alaikum,

Today is a special day for Forgotten Islam, because we will be announcing the publication of the Forgotten Islam website. Furthermore, this day is the first of Ramadan, which emphasises the significance of today.

As we all know, Ramadan is the month of fasting, cleansing our hearts of impurities, reciting the Qu’ran and increasing our Islamic knowledge. Verily, Allah has said “The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey – then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.” – Surat Al-Baqarah 2:185. This is the chosen month, in which Allah (swt) chained Shaitan, to give us an opportunity to focus on our actions. This month, not only should you increase your ibaadah (prayer) but also, seek repentance for bad deeds you have committed.

So, what is Forgotten Islam offering you this Ramadan? Well, we present to you an abdundance of knowledge. Every week we will be posting new content, including memes for your minds to feast on. From current affairs which affect Muslims, to our most cherished topic, Islamic history.

You can even participate yourself by clicking the ‘Get in touch’ tab, where we  can answer your questions or you can submit some of your work (which if you want) will be published on the website.

In conclusion, don’t let this opportunity and knowledge go to waste, please share, so you won’t regret reaping the rewards attained in this holy month.
