As-Salamu Alaikum,
This is not a profit-seeking organisation, rather it is quite the opposite. Forgotten Islam, works sincerely for the benefit of the Muslim Ummah and does not care for worldly gains. Everything that is written here is to remind and engrave the glorious Islamic history into the minds of the Muslim youth. Although, history is evidently the main subject of this website, there are many other subjects that need to be brought forward such as Islamic affairs.
If we ponder and contemplate on the situation of the Muslims today, we either see oppression or delusions fed to the Ummah. For example, in Syria, all they hear, speak and wonder about is when the bombardments and injustice will cease to exist. Or even in the West, whilst we may not feel the physical pains and feel like we live a perfect life, we are faced with challenging and absorbing ideas which confuse Muslims in the West.
One may say that “there are many organisations holding the same ideas and preaching the same things, so what makes Forgotten Islam different?” In order to answer this question, we must understand that most likeminded organisations, speak to the older generations. The youth, whilst being provided with many organisations, really don’t have their own platform. Therefore, Forgotten Islam wishes to be that platform.
In addition, the youngsters are not disputing these ideas because they view Islam as secular, not ideological hence cannot connect to the problems across the world. The use of history, not only enlightens the minds of the youth but provides them a solution to test on today’s reality. Furthermore, everything that exists today, whether it’s ideologies or technological advancements, are all based on history or previous information. Without knowledge on history, instead of progressing, we will be declining further into the darkness (as we are now).
In conclusion, Forgotten Islam is not a group that spreads fitna (trouble) by criticising certain groups and individuals. However, we aim to make the youth think about what is being fed to their minds and challenge intruding ideologies which oppose Islamic principles. It is our duty to help those who have gone astray and educate and remind those who have forgotten their history. A history that challenged secular ideas and promoted Islam in every opportunity. A history of glory, dignity and prosperity. A history which provided a resolution to humankind.
I hope you do read our articles and charge up that brilliant, cognitive mind of yours. The youth are the future leaders and it is they who will change the world.
